Extremely rare type of the three krajcaria of John Christian and George Rudolph from 1612. This is one of the rarest vintages among the three krajcaras. The piece on display is fully dated 1612 (where 2 is spelled like Z) - a hitherto unlisted type (obverse-rewers) at auctions! In 1612, for the first time on Goldstock coins of this type, the designation of mincmaster Chritoph Cantor - 1612-1617 - appears (C-C). Virtually every 3-carat coin of 1612 known to us (and we know of only a few) is a different type of coin. Mr. Jacek Bogulski wrote about the uniqueness and rarity of these coins with Mr. Krzysztof Grzesik in his article "Zlotostocki dwunastki" in the pages of "Grosz" some time ago. An exceptional coin for an exceptional collection!
