On the obverse is a Hungarian coat of arms shield, and an obverse inscription, on the reverse a chase and an obverse inscription. A historically intriguing coin minted by Wladyslaw III Varnańczyk king of Poland and Hungary, supreme prince of Lithuania, the last of the titles - "Lythuanie princeps suppremus" was only a manifestation - the actual ruler of Lithuania since 1440 was Casimir Jagiellon. Placing the chase - the coat of arms of Lithuania on this coin was also a manifestation of having power over it. A rare coin, whose rarity Czapski described as R5. An important numismatic coin, a witness to a turbulent history. A beautiful piece of this coin was sold at WDA-MiM15/103 for 1553zl https://wda.onebid.pl/pl/auction/1164/lot/103/rr-wladyslaw-warnenczyk-1442-1443-denar-polsko-litewsko-wegierski-w-dobrym-srebrze-menniczy.
