A rare numismatic coin, the ungalvanized iron from which this wartime coin was made succumbs to atmospheric agents remarkably easily - it corrodes. Coins of this issue struck with the mirror stamp are among the great rarities and are much rarer than the WMG mirror coins, or most IIRP samples. Looking at their individual listings over the years, such rarities as the 1932 Nike appear to be popular coins. The coin with the highest NGC grading, the so-called TOP POP. A great rarity missing even in advanced collections of 20th century coins.
