The prized brakteat of Mieszko III.

The first Polish brakteat with an image of the ruler on horseback, due to the lack of other attributes, interpreted as an element of rulerly dignity.

Type with a rider on horseback to the right, with the inscription MESI in the field.

Chipping of the rim, but nicely preserved and legible central part with depictions.

Silver, diameter 14.8 x 17.5 mm, weight 0.09 g.
