Grade: AU
Reference: Haczewska-Paszkiewicz typ 8, Garbaczewski nie opisuje, Gorlińska 40

Very rare type of Cracow brakteat of Leszek the White or his successors.

A beautiful mint piece.

Type with a depiction of a bearded man facing right, with an open hand raised, wearing a Jewish cap on his head. Surrounded by a Hebrew inscription described by Dobrochna Gorlinska as "towa bracha" (good blessing, on this piece twice "blessing").

One interpretation of this iconography is that the figure is an Old Testament hero such as Moses.

This is the first time in our range.

Quotations over the years individual, at high levels.

Silver, diameter 13.8 mm, weight 0.11 g.
