A nicely preserved piece with light circulation marks.
Lots of preserved luster under the patina. Slightly scarce.
Obverse: in the rope rim an oval pearl cartouche with the municipal coat of arms supported by two lions, resting on a console open at the top with the date 1649, crowned with palm leaves and a standing branch, under the lions' legs initials G-R Gerhardt Rogge - tenant of the mint in 1639-1656; in the outer rim a legend:
COIN ARGENTEA CIVITATIS GEDANENSIS;
Reverse: in the rope rim a royal bust wearing a crown with visible four bails decorated with numerous jewels, with five rosette fleurons punctuated with pearls, with a rim decorated with jewels in an arrangement of two vertically arranged circular jewels and one rhombic or rectangular jewel, wearing armor with a lined wide lace collar, wearing a cloak, with the Order of the Golden Fleece on a chain with 7 visible flints, to the right, in the outer rim the legend:
