A hugely rare, until recently uncatalogued hybrid, discovered and described for the first time in 2019 by Second Republic coin specialist Mr. Mariusz Walendzik, whose discovery was recently confirmed by the publication of the variety in the latest edition of J. Parchimowicz's specialized catalog.
The obverse stamp used for minting the "deep" banner with the characteristic doubling of the date was used to strike the offered piece (when producing the stamp, the date punch was struck twice, but not perfectly in the same place).
Denomination introduced by the reform of January 11, 1924. Coin minted to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the November Uprising by order of the Treasury Minister on November 14, 1930. Remaining in circulation until November 1939.
The coin was minted in Warsaw in an edition of 1,000,000 pieces, and was the first commemorative coin introduced into circulation in the Second Republic. It is also the only circulation coin from the Second Republic that does not have the issuer's name: 'THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND'.
