The denomination introduced by the reform of January 11, 1924 minted in this pattern since 1929. According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Poland of November 5, 1927, these coins could be used to pay obligations up to a maximum of 100 zlotys. The coin remained in circulation until the PKWN decree of August 24, 1944.
The coin was minted in Warsaw in an edition of 32,000,000 pieces. Despite the large mintage, mint pieces are quite rare.
Pieces without an imprinted mint mark on the obverse are known, but this is most likely the result of a clogged stamp.
Obverse: crowned eagle, in the rim the legend: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 1929.
Reverse: ornament, in it the inscription 1 ZŁOTY. Below the Kościesza coat of arms - the mark of the State Mint in Warsaw.
