Av. +EIN+IHREX, cross with single balls in the corners.
Rv. HERICVS[PC], cross with single balls in angles; stamp slightly offset.
Silver, 1.22 g, 19.4 mm. Dannenberg 1736.
Condition II-, 1/1 notch.
Dannenberg (vol. II, p. 718) believed this coin to be from the Cologne area, as he knew it from a treasure from Bonn. However, it is too light for Cologne. The reverse legend could include the name of Bishop Dytric or similar (e.g. Thericvs epc). However, denarii with the name of the Archbishop of Cologne were minted in Bonn itself, although there is a Bonn coin with a similar obverse (Dannenberg 1533).
