The beginnings of the company date back to 1868 when Herman Löhnert established a factory in Bydgoszcz on Podolska Street (nota bene a few hundred meters from COINSNET's headquarters) - a repair and service workshop dealing with agricultural machinery. Then the plant moved to 13 Dvortsova Street and the production of agricultural machinery began, and over the years the company grew and at the turn of the 20th century it already had 240 employees. The company continued to grow (540, then as many as 880 employees) until the years of the Great Depression of 1929-32, when the company declared bankruptcy. A distant heir to the company is MAKRUM Bydgoszcz.
