A very nicely preserved rare thaler minted in this variety for only two years.

Delicate rubbing of the uppermost parts of the relief, numerous cuts in the background.

Obverse: in the pearl rim bust of Rudolf II to the right, in the field date 1608, in the outer rim legend:
+RVDOLPHVS-II-D:G-RO-IM-SE-AV-GER-HVN-BOH-REX;

Reverse: in the pearl rim a crowned sixteenth-field shield of arms, banded with the Order of the Golden Fleece, in the outer rim legend:
