Clockmaker's workshop CROSNIER aka CRONIER (active since mid-18th century), Mantel clock with seated putti

Base rectangular in plan, with risalite, on 4 legs - bronze handles. In front, rectangular recess with gilt bronze appliqué - with motif of intertwined laurel and vine tendrils. The upper edge banded with a pearl. Above, the body of the clock concealing the mechanism - cuboidal, on the sides volute tracery with cannelures and acanthus. The dial shielded by a convex glass door, banded with string and pearl; covered with white enamel, with Arabic numerals and an inscription: "Crosnier /Paris".
In the finial of the clock - a figure of a seated Cupid, on clouds obscuring a bow and quiver. At the back - a circular, flat, glazed door showing the mechanism.
