Description
Hexagonal case, supported by 3 legs (originally there were 6). Walls with glazed slides showing the mechanism. Top plate - dial - with applied copper ring with Roman hour and Arabic minute division. From the underside of the case a bell bowl, with an engraved inscription on the plate: 1825 Jacob Mayr; Plate mechanism with spring tension.
State of preservation: minute hand missing, hour hand secondary, bell fixing screw missing, hammer missing.
Jacob Mayr (1648 - 1710) famous clockmaker active in Augsburg. One of his clocks is located and the Queen's apartments at Windsor Castle.
