The watch manufactory was founded in 1893 by Fritz Moeri and Albert Jeanneret under the name Moeri Jeanneret. It was one of the largest manufacturers of pocket watches with a very high standard of quality. In addition, wristwatches and stopwatches and chronographs were produced. During World War II, service watches for the Wehrmacht were also produced .
Fritz Moeri was undoubtedly a very creative and innovative watchmaker, as the CH 4872 patent of his name for a chronograph with a digital timer display appeared as early as 1892.
The company name "Montre Moeris" appeared in 1920.
In 1970 the company was acquired by Tissot, and in 1980 Tissot-Le Locle took over the Moeris division.
