CHIMBER CLOCKWARE WITH FIGURE OF MARIANNE, France, mid-19th century.

Pedestal on a rectangular plan with rounded shorter sides. Resting on the shorter sides on two winged lion's feet, on the longer sides on four tapering legs decorated with palmettes and a rosette. In front, under the pedestal, a basket of flowers among strands of vine. The front of the pedestal with a reclining female figure wearing a Greek helmet. In the finial a blue sphere with a mechanism, decorated with signs of crayfish and scales and the figure of Marianne.

Pendulum mechanism, with an hour and half-hour beating system. Enameled dial with Roman numerals.
