Tower-shaped fire-gilt bronze engraved clock case on a flared base, with a sculpture of Pallas Athena on top. Signed 'Gerhart Weghaft Hattnegen' on the front above the base. Silvered dial with Greek numerals, alarm indication, blued steel hands (one hour hand, one to control the alarm). Feathered brass movement with spindle step, worm string winding of both drum and movement, gears arranged in a row. Hourly striking bell located at top of clock operated by two mechanical bells. Short pendulum on the back of the clock, running time: 1 day. Germany circa 1600, signs of age and use. Condition 2+

On the fron side above base marked "Gerhart Weghaft Hattnegen". tSilvered dial wih Greek's numbers, alarm- and striking mechanism discs, blued steel clock hands,Square brass plate movement with single-hand, the gears arranged one behind the other, verge escapement, short pendulum on the back side, power reserve: 1 day, spring driven via string and double fusee, alarm mechanism, jaquemarts are animated by the hour striking mechanism, top-mounted bell. Germany circa 1600, traces of wear. Condition 2+
