Blackened wooden clock case, with a semi-circular stepped base at the bottom, on which rests a prismatic clock case with pilasters. Gilt brass and wood decorative appliqués. At the bottom, painted on copper plate, a landscape painting of a watermill, signed and dated 'C L Hofmeister Wien 1825'. Automaton with mill wheel and running water. Brass dial with Roman numerals, gilt lunette. Feather brass clock movement with quarter beating on spiral gongs. Carl Ludwig Hoffmeister (* 1790 Vienna - †1843). Vienna 1825, dimensions 42 x 70 x 18 cm. The pendulum is missing. No guarantee of running, inspection by a watchmaker required. Condition 2-
