Barbara Maria Żak
Born on November 21, 1955 in Ustroń. She studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Wroclaw at the Faculty of Painting Graphics and Sculpture. She received her diploma in painting in 1980 under the direction of Professor Konrad Jarodzki. After her studies, she experienced a several-year adventure with the world of the "Banialuka" Puppet Theater in Bielsko-Biała. Harlequins, pierrots , theatrical puppets, appeared not only in stage design, but also penetrated into her painting and ceramic works. She has been a member of ZPAP Bielsko-Biala District since 1981. The works are in the District Museum in Nowy Sacz, the Silesian Museum in Katowice and in private collections at home and abroad.
