He received his diploma in painting and textiles in 1970 from the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań. In 1976, he had the opportunity to travel India. His stay in that country turned out to be an important event for him, not only because of the time he spent there (3 years), but also because he came into contact with clay as an artistic material. After returning to Poland, he became a member of the Warsaw group of ceramists KERAMOS. Since 1981, he has focused exclusively on ceramics. His works have been presented in many solo exhibitions in Poland, Europe, as well as in India and Nepal. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions at home and abroad. A common motif found in the artist's works is a human figure with the head of a bird. He named him Horuda, and his name is a combination of the names of two deities - Horus from Egyptian mythology and Garuda from Hindu mythology. Horuda is the lord of luck and prosperity. He appears barefoot, but wearing a hat. He appears in various situations. He brings smiles to those who like him and happiness to those who fall into reverie at the sight of him
