Biography
Wroclaw-born sculptor, author of installations and films. In 1994-95 he studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the Wroclaw University of Technology, and then from 1995 at the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. He defended his diploma thesis in sculpture in 2000 in the studio of Prof. Leon Podsiadły. Brzeski experiments with materials and explores the possibilities and organics of the sculptural medium. He is interested in the permanence, scale and spatial relevance in which his works participate. He has shown his works in solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, most recently at the Polish Institute in Berlin. In 2009, he was nominated for the Spojrzenia (Deutsche Bank Foundation Awards) competition organized by the Zachęta National Gallery of Art in Warsaw. He lives and works in Wroclaw.
