Biography
Leszek Dutka was born in Jaworzno in 1921 (district of Chrzanów, Cracow province). From 1945 to 55 he studied at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studios of painting of Prof. Hanna Rudzka - Cybis, drawing of Prof. Zbigniew Pronaszko and wall painting of Prof. Wacław Taranczewski. At the same time, he studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology, where in 1952 he received a master's degree in technical sciences and an engineer of architecture and urban planning from Prof. Włodzimierz Gruszczyński.
In 1956 he became a member of the Union of Polish Artists of the Krakow District.
In 1960 he took up ceramics professionally. He made decorative ceramics and ceramic sculptures, took part in numerous national and international exhibitions of ceramics and organized individual exhibitions.
