Katarzyna Bułka Matłacz

Polish sculptor born in Warsaw. She graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Sculpture. She studied under professors: Gustaw Zemla, Jan Kucz, Piotr Gawron, Stanislaw Kulon, Janusz Pastwa and Tadeusz Lodzana.

In 1991 she received a Master of Arts degree, and in 1996 she received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artistsin Warsaw and the French Association Art'PAIR International.

Katarzyna Bulka Matłacz's works are poetry of accurate mental shortcuts enclosed in surrealistic form, creating complete stories with deep philosophical meaning.

The sculptor uses the lost-wax technique, a casting method known as far back as antiquity.Thismethod ofmaking artistic bronze castingsrequires exceptional patience and great precision from the artist.

After many years of experimentation, she hasalsodeveloped a proprietary technique for melting glass in a high-temperature furnace.

Using this technique, she creates unique sculptures in glass, combining them with bronze elements. She received an honorable mention at the Paris Art Competition for one of them.

She is the author of many prestigious statues and awards for, among others:

European Bridge League (HALL of FAME), Puls Biznesu (GAZELE BIZNES),

TVN (THE HAPPY BOHATER), Polish Academy of Sciences (CHEMICAL MARCH)

WPROST (WPROST PORTFEL), TVN Turbo (MALETHING).

Collaborates on a permanent basis with Art Galleries in Poland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Denmark, Belgium, Austria, Germany and France.

She has received numerous awards for her works at home and abroad.

Particularly close to the artist are:

Second Prize and the Audience Award at the Greater Poland Salon,

for the sculpture , "Carmen"- 2012.

GRAND PRIX (goldmedal) at the Salon d'Automne Coubron - Paris, for the sculpture "Dream of Venice" (November - 2013).

Participation in the Final Exhibition of the 2016 Summer Exhibition at the Castle Gallery in Birmingham, organized by INSIGHT Building Creative Talent.

Honorable mention in the 3rd Edition of the "NanoArt" Art Competition, for the sculpture "Nanoparticle" (Galerie Roi Dore - ParisAugust - 2017).
