Jakub Niewdana is an artist from Brzezie (near Krakow), who works mainly in ceramics and photography.
In 2014, he graduated, with honors, from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow at the sculpture department under Professor Jerzy Nowakowski. In the same year, he received a Scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education. In 2015, he began doctoral studies at the Pedagogical University of Cracow. Currently with an open doctoral dissertation. Jakub Niewdana has participated in numerous exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Since 2015 he has been running his own ceramics studio. His works can be found in numerous collections and institutions (including Gallery Art Agency GAP) in Poland and abroad. In 2018, his solo exhibition took place at Grodzka Art Gallery in Krakow. The works presented there were from the animalistic series "Safari," inspired by the artist's exotic travels. Animals created in the studio of Jakub Niewdana invariably delight with richness of color and mastery of synthesis of form. The artist prepares each of the developed models in many color versions. In his works he often combines two passions - photography and ceramics.
