Biography
Iga Borkowska creates mainly bronze and ceramic sculptures, and the leading trend in her work is realism with elements of geometry. She combines contemporary and classical, based on simple and everyday content, giving the viewer a stimulus and spark for their own stories and concepts. Guided by clues and suggestions, in the form of gestures and graphic nuances, as well as the necessary title that complements the sculpture or painting, she invites the viewer to co-create the story of the work being viewed. Born in 1984, in Boleslawiec. She lives and works in Cracow, where she graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. In her work, she draws on her experience in conservation and the required precision, without giving up her innate love of gesture and expression. In addition to the association of content, the artist couples various means of expression, such as colors, texture, matte and glossy elements, free gestures and geometric planes. A frequent motif on her sculptures is an evenly placed plane of color that cuts a spatial form. Her main creative goal is to harmonize and synergize, while accumulating means of expression. Iga Borkowska's works have found great interest in national exhibitions and are in many private collections at home and abroad. In her abstract spatial works, the artist seeks a timelessness that makes the sculptures almost signs. The works are based on the juxtaposition of two themes: civilization and nature.

Kinga Zielinska paints dynamic, multifaceted abstractions. She chooses a fragment of nature or a remembered detail and multiplies it on paper or canvas. The artist says she creates subjectless and storyless paintings, in which she releases her emotions and temperament. She is interested in the pure feeling and associations of the viewer. She often experiments, combining oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolor and ink in a single painting. She was born in 1972 in Zakopane. She grew up in the sculpture studio of her father, who was her first mentor. After graduating from the A. Kenar High School of Fine Arts, she traveled to Italy, where she expanded her artistic skills. Upon her return, she completed Art Education and Art Therapy in Cracow. She began leading ceramic workshops and working with autistic youth, in whom she wanted to awaken the driving force from the beginning. In fact, she has been finding herself in this role for years, just like her mother, who co-created theater with the disabled. In spatial works, the artist seeks a timelessness that makes the sculptures almost signs.

For the past three years, the artists have been working together in the duo "OTEKI by hand."
