THE ARTIST'S BIO:
Dmitrij Bulawka - Fankidejski graduated from the Department of Sculpture and Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. Diploma in the studio of Prof. Mariusz Białecki in 2016, annex Medallurgy and Small Sculptural Forms in the studio of Prof. Ludmila Ostrogórska. Assistant in the Studio of Fundamentals of Drawing at the Faculty of Sculpture and Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk.
The artist deals with sculpture, installation, drawing, ceramics, creates sculptures in metal. For his works he constructs and builds kilns for firing ceramics and melting metals.
He received the Rectors' Award at the exhibition Best Diplomas at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk in 2016 for his sculptural realization "Question of Space".
He took part in the project "Organization, preparation and execution of the project of giving artistic decoration to the set of elevations of tenement houses in the Main City area in Gdansk", realization of ceramic and aluminum objects on the elevations of tenement houses on Ogarna, Szeroka, Rybackie Pobrzeże and Świętojańska streets in Gdansk (2014-18).
