BIO ARTISTS:
Alicja Buławka - Fankidejska, born February 17, 1983 in Starogard Gdański. Studies at the Faculty of Sculpture, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. Diploma in studio of Prof. Slawoj Ostrowski in 2010, annex in Artistic Ceramics studio of Prof. Teresa Klaman.
Since 2013 assistant in the Studio of Artistic Ceramics at the Department of Sculpture and Intermedia at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk.
She deals mainly with artistic ceramics, moving in alternative methods of ceramic firing. She is fascinated by the experimental approach to creative activities related to ceramics.
She is the winner of, among others: an honorable mention (2013) and the Grand Prize - Award of Excellence for her ceramic work "Into the Wild" at the Cluj International Ceramics Biennale, Museum of Art, Cluj - Napoca, Romania in 2015; she participated in the post-competition exhibition "Best 2015" at Gallatea Gallery, Bucharest; winner of the Award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk in 2015. She presented her ceramic objects in four solo exhibitions. She participated in group exhibitions among others: Gdansk Biennale of Art (2017, 2020) the jubilee exhibition of the Gdansk Academy of Fine Arts entitled: "Metaphor and Reality" (2015), Ceramics Triennale in Boleslawiec (2018), "Scale" exhibition at Pionova Gallery in Gdansk (2017), "Gunter Grass - collection plus" exhibition at Gunter Grass Gallery in Gdansk (2016), "Ceramique 45" Chateau de Saint Jean le Blanc in France (2019), "Territories" Design Days exhibition, Vilnius Technology and Design College, Lithuania (2019), Wl4 National Review of Ceramic Sculpture in Gdansk, Poland (2019), Concurs de Ceramica de l' Alcora in Spain (2019), "Metal Art" series of group exhibitions in Lithuania (2019), III Latvia Ceramics Biennale. Martinsons Award (2021), XIII Festival of High Temperatures, Wroclaw (2021), and plein airs: including: International Ceramics Symposium Olomouc (Czech Republic) 2021.
She participated in the project "Organization, preparation and execution of the project of giving artistic decoration to a set of elevations of tenement houses in the Main City area in Gdansk", realization of ceramic and aluminum objects on the elevations of tenement houses on Ogarna, Szeroka, Rybackie Pobrzeże and Świętojańska streets in Gdansk (2014-18).
