The vase comes from the series Seeking Forms. It is a reflection of the artist on whether objects can rebel against the function they were created for? Or maybe it's not about objects after all...
Beata Szczepaniak was born in 1988 and is a sculptor and designer. In 2008-2009 she studied at the Faculty of Visual Education, Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. In 2014, she defended her diploma at the Department of Sculpture and Spatial Activities, University of Arts in Poznań, and in 2013 she received the award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Since then, she has been taking part in outdoor exhibitions every year, organized, among others, at the Polish Sculpture Center in Oronsko. Creating spatial objects is a way for the artist to express herself. She relies on biomorphic shapes that intrigue with ambiguity, asking the viewer what they are and seduce the sense of touch with the softness of the forms.
