Figures of a Hutsul and a Hutsul woman with pipes - lulki in their mouths. A Hutsul woman wearing a kerchief, long light-colored shirt, spare clothes, short red lambasted mugshirt and helmets, holding a hen under her arm. A mustachioed Hutsul wearing a hat, shirt, keptara (sleeveless), wide pants, shawls and postols (helmets), with a bag slung diagonally over his shoulders and a sack thrown over his back.
The author of the two pairs of Hutsul figures - a Pole, Aleksander Dziobek (dates of life unknown) was active in Kolomyia in the 1920s-30s. Mentioned with a short note by Romana Baran in the Ukrainian "Encyclopedia of Kolomyia" by Mikola Vasilchuk and Mikola Saichuk (notebook 5, letter D), n.d. He created small figurines and genre groups showing the daily life of the Hutsuls, described as full of life and humor.
