Figures on rocaille gilt plinths, standing - each - by a flowered trunk, in stylized 18th-century costumes. A woman wearing a hat, laced corsage and a ribbon-flipped cape, with a lamb at her feet; her right hand supports a basket of flowers. A man wearing a hat, patterned open tailcoat, short pants, cape, with a bag on a strap. By his right leg sits a doe-eyed dog.
The figures refer to 18th-century Meissen pairs of gardeners or shepherds according to models by Johann J. Kaendler and Michael V. Aciera.
