"I believe that lingerie is the most exciting and mysterious element of a woman's closet. (...) Exciting is not only what you can see, but most of all what we think, imagine you can see. This is also the case with my paintings. Public exposure and skillful covering of body parts means that not only the man but also the woman has the right to an individual position in the erotic sphere. In my series, the woman is no longer a dominant being but a dominant personality. My ceramic paintings are not total nudity, but have a clear erotic context. They tell of the feelings of two spouses, who are natural, devoted and imperfect in them. Today, nudity is no longer shocking or taboo. Our value system has become a private matter. Prudery is no longer in fashion. For the creation of the series, I used a series of photographs that my husband and I took during the two years of our relationship. This activity became a natural indispensable part of our lives. We recorded our behavior everywhere, including in intimate situations.
The symbolism of entwined bodies and their expression has always appealed to me in art. My paintings are a symbol of the victory of passion and feelings of spouses. The perversion of aesthetics! Because art can play a variety of roles, and my paintings have gained an ambiguous magic because of it."
