Winterling porcelain coffee/tea set, Bavaria, 1950s-60s
Set consisting of 5 cups with saucers, a creamer and a sugar bowl, made of white gilt porcelain. All pieces decorated with motifs from the "Viennese Love" series, inspired by the paintings of Jean-Honore Fragonard (3 different motifs). Manufacturer's markings on the bottom of the cups, saucers, creamer and sugar bowl (different markings on two saucers). Manufactured in Bavaria by the Winterling brand (after 1953).
Dimensions:
- cup: diameter 7.5 cm; diameter + ear approx. 10 cm; height approx. 4 cm.
- saucer: diameter 11 cm;
- creamer: height 8.5 cm; width (at top, with ear) 10 cm;
- sugar bowl: height 7 cm; width (at top, with ears) 13.5 cm.
Overall condition very good, typical rubbing of gilding (especially on saucers), one cup with loss and crack, one cup without ear.
