XI-XV) with medals and with depiction of a monument in honor of Charles XII (fold-out plates). Bindings rubbed, title page lightly taped from the back, late stickers, stains and traces of woodworm in places, nevertheless good condition overall. Ex-libris of Kazimierz Marian Ostrowski-Bełza (1880-1941) - lawyer, clerk at the Galician Land Department, from 1923 director of the State Tobacco Monopoly. An immensely readable biography, whose authorship by the Elblag historian, rector of the Elblag Academic Gymnasium Jerzy Daniel Seyler (1686-1765), who was a close acquaintance of the king and a witness to the events, Estreicher casts doubt on (or perhaps it was the work of M. Gerlach). The book was immensely popular because of the details it contained about the private life of Stanislaw Leszczynski (1677-1766) - King of Poland in 1704-1709 and 1733-1736. The first printing of the work appeared in 1737 Stockholm in Swedish, in 1740 it was translated into French, and in 1741 into English.
