France, Paris, 4th quarter of 19th - early 20th century.
Irregular base with seated Bacchic figure: a nude woman with scythe-like, goat-like legs; her left hand elongates, transformed into a leafy flower branch constituting a candlestick. Next to it - two naked putti. The legs of the base - are the head of a goat and a grapevine.
On the bottom the signature: "H.V / 340 / 162 / VIAN".
The artist - a bronze worker active in Paris, creating in the spirit of the Baroque.
