Good condition, spine discoloration, own stamp. Francis Sydney Smythe (1900-1949) - British climber, writer, photographer and botanist, author of many books on mountains. His most important climbing achievements were conquering Mont Blanc in the Alps and Kamet in the Himalayas. He also attempted Kanchendzonga and Mount Everest between 1930 and 1938, but unsuccessfully.
