Jan Chryzostom Zachariasiewicz, pseud. Maciej Lomza (1823-1906) - Polish writer and journalist of Armenian origin.He belonged to the conspiratorial organization Sons of the Fatherland - the most important cell of the Young Sarmatia. The most important goal of the members of this organization was to work for the homeland. He participated in self-education meetings, read forbidden literature, learned about Polish history. On December 18, 1839, an unsuccessful plot on the life of police commissioner Franz Guth took place in Przemyśl. March 1840 saw the first arrests. The Sons of the Fatherland were also unmasked, including Jan Zachariasiewicz. He was sentenced to two years of hard imprisonment in the Spielberg fortress. During his incarceration he became acquainted with German and French literature. From April 15 to November 29, 1848, together with Karol Widman, he was editor of the journal "Progress." In it he printed articles touching on current problems, including writing about the situation of peasants or Ruthenians.His last novel was Orion and Chrysanthemum, printed in 1903 in the pages of "Gazeta Lwowska "He donated the royalties from it to the renovation of the school in Krzywcza
