Krystyna Wróblewska (Warsaw 4 March 1904 - Krakow 4 December 1994).
Krystyna Wróblewska studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Stefan Batory University in Vilnius (until 1938), then at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiere in Paris (1938). In 1945, she settled in Cracow with her son Andrzej, a future prominent painter. From 1945 she worked as a teacher at the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. She received the title of professor in 1968 and retired in 1974. She was a co-founder of the "Nine Graphic Artists" group, which tried to continue the tradition of Warsaw and Vilnius wood engraving before the war. Wróblewska was associated and exhibited with this group in 1947-1960. She was also active in ZPAP, among other things as co-organizer of the "Best Graphic of the Month" competitions (from 1959). She sat on the authorities of the Graphics Section of ZPAP (1950-1974). She was the winner of the Award of the City of Cracow in 1973, the Brother Albert Award in 1978 and numerous art competitions. She was mainly engaged in printmaking (woodcut) as well as painting and drawing.
