WÓJCICKI Kaz[imierz] Wł[adysław] - Lives of illustrious people famed in various professions. With engravings. T. 1-2. Warsaw 1850. j. Bernstein. 8, pp. [6], 526, [2], plate 37; [4], 371, [4], plate 37. publisher's pencil.
Slight rubbing of covers, very good condition. At the end of vol. 1 pasted-in catalog description from the common auction catalog. Copy with set of engravings (altogether 73 portraits (69 lithographs, 4 woodcuts) and one lithographed plate with facsimile of Szymonowicz's letter). Author's name highlighted after the preface. Biographies of Polish and foreign writers with portraits reflected in lithographs by Hirszel and Fleck. Infrequent.
