P.G. Wodehouse was a hugely popular English humorist whose works have entertained readers around the world for more than a century. Of his prolific output, the best known is a series of works depicting the farcical adventures of a pair of inseparable heroes: a young man from the so-called upper classes, Bertie Wooster, and far superior to his employer in intelligence and knowledge - the servant Jeeves.
Bertie and Jeeves appeared in literature around 1911, and although so much has happened since then, they still fight with despotic aunts, elude possessive fiancés and have various absurd adventures.
In the novel "Much obliged, Jeeves," Bertie Wooster decides to help his friend, Ginger Winship, running for a seat in parliament, but every now and then he gets into very funny trouble.
