- Włodzimierz Perzyński (6.07.1877 Opoczno - 21.10.1930 Warsaw) Polish playwright, poet, novelist, columnist and translator. He graduated from gymnasium in St. Petersburg, then studied in Krakow in 1897-1899, and traveled around Europe in 1899-1901. Upon his return, he became a columnist for Krakow's "Voice of the Nation." He debuted as a poet in 1898, and as a playwright in 1904 (the comedy "Lekkomyślna siostra") after which he wrote a number of other dramatic works. From 1905 in Warsaw as a regular contributor to "Tygodnik Ilustrowany", from 1907-1912 he lived in Paris, Switzerland and Italy, where his first novels were written from 1907. From 1913 permanently in Warsaw, where he also worked with theaters as a translator and literary manager. He was a respected, popular and prolific columnist, novelist and playwright, his novels were less appreciated; see Polski słownik biograficzny (PSB) vol. 25 pp. 648-650
