Third publication, issued by the literary grouping "Czartak", founded by Emil Zegadłowicz, uniting artists originating from the Beskids. It contains literary works celebrating the beauty of the mountains and a simple life in union with nature. The whole is preceded by an introduction by Emil Zegadłowicz (with a woodcut initial by Zdzisław Gedliczka), and concludes with a "Literary Review," including a chronicle of the group's activities. The anthology illustrated with full-page woodcuts - by Zdzislaw Gedliczka, Edward Porządkowski and Ludwik Misky (3 boards). Cover designed by Zbigniew Pronaszko, inside also reproduced drawings by the artist - caricatures of the authors of the texts. Attached to the volume is a portfolio of autolithographs, printed at the factory of A. Pruszyński in Cracow. It contains Beskid views, by graphic artists befriended with "Czartak" - Julian Fałat (2 graphics), Jan Hrynkowski, Felicjan Szczęsny Kowarski, Ludwik Misky, Jan Mroziński, Zbigniew Pronaszko and Wojciech Weiss - outstanding graphic artists of the time, from different generations and backgrounds, who were united by their love of the Beskids. Elegant binding in brown, wide half-leather, spine divided by convex scrolls into six fields, in the second field a signboard with a titula, in the remaining fields blind embossing. Front cover broch, after conservation, otherwise good condition. A nice piece.
