WILDER Hieronim [1876-1941] - Polish art historian, antiquarian, bibliophile, promoter of graphic art. In 1903-32 he ran an antiquarian bookstore in Warsaw, which from 1906 was called Antykwariat Polski. He collected "white ravens," incunabula, old prints, engravings and paintings. A large part of the collection was lost in the bombing of Warsaw on September 25, 1939, and the rest in the fire at the Ordynacja Krasińska Library, where the surviving part of the Warsaw antiquarian's collection of manuscripts and old prints was deposited during the occupation.
Hieronim Wilder died in the Warsaw Ghetto on June 6, 1941 [source: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hieronim_Wilder].
