Spine slightly rubbed, minor soiling. "Today books with original photographs are sought after by specialized collectors, who estimate their total worldwide number at about 1,000 titles dating from 1850-1890" (Wiercińska, p. 132).
T. Szajnok (1833-1894) - a popular Lviv photographer. Before 1862 he ran an establishment after Chołoniewski at 174 2/4 Pojezuicka Street, from 1867 in his own newly built house at 727 2/4 Meyer Street. In 1863 he photographed participants in the uprising. He was the author of the manual "Photographic Guide for the Use of Professional Photographers and Enthusiasts," published in 1893 in Berlin. Between 1868 and 1869 he published two albums of photographs (Album krasiczyńskie and Album żółkiewskie) for the first time in Poland hand-printed in the form of light-prints.
