E. Wasilewski (1814-1846) - a singer of Krakow, known as "the poet of the Free City of Krakow," considered the most prominent Krakow poet before Stanislaw Wyspiański (according to Wikipedia). Wasilewski is the author of famous and popular patriotic poems
among others: "To Wawel, to Wawel, krakowiak żwawy!" and "Płynie Wisła, płynie po polskiej krainie".
