The Governor (All the King's Men) - a novel by Robert Penn Warren, belonging to the canon of American literature[1]. The story is set in the 1930s; the narrator is Jack Burden, a journalist and friend of the titular Governor Will Stark - it is not stated which state - and also the author's alter ego. These two characters, Burden and Stark, form the duo on which the book's plot is based. In 2006, a movie was made based on the book, titled "All the King's Men". All the King's Men.
