Publisher's binding (designed by graphic artist Edward Szoege-Manteuffel (1908-1941)): on the front cover a mine shaft, factory chimneys and smelting furnaces against the background of the borders of interwar Poland, spine with red signboard and rich gilt. Inside, numerous photomontages by Mieczyslaw Berman (1903-1975), caricatures by Wladyslaw Daszewski (1903-1971), and photographs by the author. A second, expanded account (published only a month after the first) of the reporter's work on a trip to the Central Industrial District the author made in 1937-1938, augmented by a report on the recovery of Zaolzie Silesia.
