Lot description Show orginal version
Grade: bardzo dobry-
Polish copper coinage in the 17th century, is a book that came into being thanks to a detailed study of the gigantic treasury of boratines from Przasnysz numbering 17391 pieces, thanks to which 172 varieties were distinguished along with forgeries, and as the author V. Niemirycz noted, Czapski's collection contained only 45 varieties of these small copper sherds. This easy-to-read catalog took into account the legends, the size of the king's head, the characteristic features of the coats of arms and the anomalies present on the coin, strongly distinguishing it from the issues of the whole vintage, without distinguishing the subtle subvariants of the punts used, and leading, among other things, to the ahistorical attribution of the coats of arms, and thanks to this simplicity, despite more recent studies, it is used by many collectors to create collections to this day. Very good- condition, minor signs of use, undated stamps and library markings. Bialystok 1979, 28 pages.
