John Clauss Voss a.k.a. Jack 1858-1922 German-Canadian sailor. Initially a carpenter, then a sailor, then a sailor. Best known for his voyage in a modified chiselled dugout canoe named Tilikum begun in 1901 with his friend Norman Luxton and completed alone in 1904, as recounted in this account.
