After this part authored by Antonovych, the content of the book consists of 111 reprints and translations of letters, complaints, treaties, universals on issues related to Cossacks, including many in Polish: such as the Universal written by King Stefan Batory to officers and planners of the provinces : Kiev, Podolia, Volhynia and Braclaw provinces ordering them to prevent the incursion of civilians into the Turkish borders in 1580.

Author of more than 300 works and publications on Ukrainian history, archaeology and ethnography, including the history of the Cossacks. He created the so-called Kiev school of historians.
