Book in Russian. Historical outline of the Warsaw Sobor of the Holy Trinity. After the Synod of the Moscow Patriarchate decided in 1834 to establish the Orthodox Diocese of Warsaw, the church and buildings on Dluga Street were purchased from the Piarist Order. Reconstruction of the building, both exterior and interior, began in the spring of 1835. Construction work continued until 1837, carried out according to designs by Aurelius Corazzi. The Orthodox church existed on this site until 1916. In 1923-1927 the church was restored to its original appearance. Today it houses the Roman Catholic Garrison Cathedral of the Polish Army.
