Illustration for "The Deluge" by Henryk Sienkiewicz, by one of the most outstanding Polish illustrators, a master of illustrating classic works of Polish and world literature. Drawing published in: H. Sienkiewicz. Deluge. Warsaw 1949. PIW, vol. II, chapter XI, p. 193. Under the drawing in the book the text: "That's the one! I'm guessing! - Prince Boguslaw said. - I don't know if such a wonder, some said, but indeed a noble horse". Drawing on a board glued by the author from several sheets of paper, glued to cardboard. Good condition, framed 57 x 45 cm.
